The Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is dedicated to enhancing the County's preparedness for, and resilience against all hazards—natural, technological, or human-made. Its mission encompasses developing and coordinating emergency plans and procedures in collaboration with city, county, state, and federal agencies; conducting emergency management training programs; assessing potential hazards and providing timely notifications to county officials and residents; supporting incident command systems; and assisting in disaster recovery operations, facilitating a swift return to normalcy post-incident.
