The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a qualified attorney to serve as Deputy District Attorney over its Civil Division.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

$78,040 - $107,804

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Membership in the Alabama State Bar Association in good standing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong advocacy and legal writing skills, along with a working knowledge of civil law and the criminal justice system.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

Primary responsibilities include prosecuting civil asset forfeiture cases, litigating Rule 32 proceedings, handling civil petitions for relief from SORNA restrictions, responding to civil complaints and subpoenas, and performing other duties as assigned by the Jefferson County District Attorney.
